| 9–11th September Steam Gala | |||
| This year's Steam Gala saw (probably) the best ever line up of locos, and not an industrial in sight! Locos featured were; GWR City class 3440 City of Truro, LNER B12 61572, N7 69621, SR Battle of Britain class 34081 92 Squadron, and WD 2-10-0 90775. It was almost inevitable that the weather for the event wasn't going to be as good as the previous year, which was more or less prefect for all three days, and so it proved to be the case. All the pictures below are from Friday, as I was unable to attend Saturday, and decided to ride on Sunday! | |||

| 4th September 69621's First Public Train | |||
| Hill designed N7 69621 hauled its first public passenger train in six years on Sunday 4th September. The GER 0-6-2 is owned by the East Anglian Railway Museum, but is on long term loan to the NNR after the railway offered to fund the engine's 10 year overhaul. 69621 is currently in plain black , with early BR emblem, and carrying the 32C (Lowestoft) shed plate, 69621 being one of two N7s based there in the late 50s. The plain black livery will be short lived, as the loco is due to be lined out in time for the Winter Gala. | |||

| 2–3rd July City of Truro at the NNR | |||
| Confirmed back last September, the 10 week stay of 3440 City of Truro is a significant coup for the NNR. The loco will be spending more time at the NNR than it has at any of the other numerous preserved railways it's visited recently, and a major draw for the all important summer season. 3440 arrived by road on Friday 1st July. After gauging trails on Saturday (2nd), the loco entered into traffic on Sunday (3rd), when it successfully completed four round trips. Below are a selection of pictures taken over the weekend as Truro was put through its paces! | |||

| 11–12th June Diesel Gala | |||
| The NNR's annual diesel gala returned to its usual June slot this year. In action was all of the railway's operational home fleet, which included; Class 31s 31162 and 31207, Class 25 D5207, Class 08s D3935 and D3940. (On Sunday D3935 was replaced by Class 11 12131). Two notable absentees, which are worth a mention where; Class 37 D6732 and Class 47 47367. D6732 is current receiving some much deserved (and needed) TLC in the new sheds at Weybourne, and despite the best efforts of the shed staff at Weybourne 47367 didn't quite make it! But it is hoped that the loco will be up and running in the next month or two! | |||

| Throughout January and February the NNR are running Green Arrow Specials. The railway will operating a 'Green' service with trains hauled by 60800 Green Arrow. If you haven't seen 60800 yet in Norfolk there is still time! This is also your last change to see the loco in BR Green, when the loco returns to York it will be repainted in LNER apple green. | |||

| 31st December–2nd January Curtain Up on Century 3 Winter Gala | |||
| Judging by the (slightly unexpected) success of the NNR's inaugural Winter Gala, it's probably fair to say that the event is here to say. With New Years Day falling over the weekend and visiting (from the National Railway Museum) Gresley V2 60800 Green Arrow, the railway was heaving with visitors. A gray and misty Friday and cloudy Saturday has ment that I have changed many of my pictures from those days to black and white, they look like they could have been taken back in the 1950s, fantastic! Three locos ran for all three days, these where; LNER V2 60800 Green Arrow, SR Battle of Britain 34081 92 Squadron, and WD 2-10-0 90775. | |||
