26th December The return of Ring Haw

Hunselt 16-inch No 1982 Ring Haw was once a seemingly constant fixture at the head of the NNR's trains. However the loco has spent the last five years on the sidelines due to prolonged boiler repairers. So it was with a little nostalgia that we headed to the NNR on Boxing Day to see Ring Haw put through her paces once again – welcome back.

29th–31st August Steam Gala

This year's Gala took on a branch line flavour with visiting western motive power in the form of 16XX 1638 (from the Kent and East Sussex) and returning to the railway for a second year 56XX 5643 (usually based at the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway). But, perhaps the stars of the show were the superb newly restored Gresley Quad-Art coaches, which made many trips throughout the weekend. The remaining motive power was made up of the NNR's home fleet; LNER N7 69621, J15 65462 and WD 2-10-0 90775. The weekend also featured an intensive timetable, with no less than 22 departures from Sheringham!
