NORTH YORKSHIRE MOORS
8–10th May  Spring Gala

The North Yorkshire Moors' Spring Gala featured 'celebrity' A1 Pacific 60163 Tornado. The A1 is drawing crowds everywhere it goes at the moment, and its visit to the NYMR gave the chance to pair up the apple green liveried loco with the line's splendid teak coaches. Working alongside Tornado was fellow LNER Pacific 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley. The remaining locos (in service during our visit) were: GWR 56XX 6619; SR S15 825; LMS Black 5 54507 The Lancashire Fusilier, Super D 49395; LNER Q6 63395; BR 4MT 76029.
