The NYMR's Spring Steam Gala saw two guest visitors from Jeremy Hosking's stable of locomotives. While BR Standard pioneer 70000 Britannia was making its first visit to the Moors, 4464 Bittern is certainly no stranger to the line. It's appearance on the NYMR's teak train came hot on the heels of starring at the SVR Spring Steam Gala in a similar role. Other locos in steam during my visit were: SR S15 825; LNER A4 Sir Nigel Gresley (making a very welcome return), J72 69023; BR 4MT 75029 The Green Knight, 4MT 80072, 9F 92214 Cock O' The North.
