19–21st September Steam Gala

After two successful and enjoyable weekends at the NNR Steam Gala and Guildex (at Telford, expect a serge on the model railway front over the winter!), it must be time for the Severn Valley Railway's Steam Gala. This year's gala had a Southern Railway Theme with LBSC Stroudley Terrier 32678, SR West Country 34045 Ottery St Mary and BR Standard 5 73096 all in attendance. A surprise visitor from last year (but no less welcome) was 6201 Princess Elizabeth (although I am still trying to work out were she fits into the Southern theme!) Sadly missed (by me) this year was A4 60009 Union of South Africa, as one of my favourite locos it is always nice to reacquaint myself! But still an enjoyable weekend, as ever. So just for the record, locos featured this year; SR Terrier 32678, West Country Class 34045 Ottery St Mary (aka 34027 Taw Valley), BR Standard Class 5 73096, LMS 7P 6201 Princess Elizabeth, Black 5 45110, Stannier mogal 42968, GWR Pannier tanks 1501, 5764, 7714, Manor 7802 Bradley Manor.
